Cutback: Drink Less or Quit

The short version

Cutback has no account, no login, and no analytics. Your drink logs, limits, reasons, photos, and progress never leave your device. The only data that goes anywhere is what our payment processor, RevenueCat, needs to validate your purchase.

Data we collect

We collect nothing ourselves. Everything you enter into Cutback, including your daily or weekly limit, logged drinks, your "why," spending baseline, photos, and settings, is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. We have no server, and we never see this data.

Data collected by our payment processor

Cutback uses RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and subscriptions. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat collects:

• Purchase history to validate your transaction and restore it across devices.
• Device ID, an anonymous app-generated identifier, not your Apple ID, name, or email, used to link your purchase to your entitlement.

This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking, advertising, or any purpose other than processing your purchase. We do not pass your name, email, or any personal information to RevenueCat, and we do not collect an advertising identifier (IDFA). Cutback does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you.

Diagnostics

Cutback uses Apple's MetricKit to detect crashes and performance issues. These diagnostic reports are collected and delivered by Apple's own systems. The app never transmits them anywhere, and we only log a count of how many were received, never their contents.

What we do not do

• No account or sign-up, so we have no name, email, or password to lose.
• No analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs.
• No advertising identifiers, ad networks, or data brokers.
• No location data.
• No sharing or selling of any data, because we do not collect any to share.

Cutback is a wellness tool and is not a medical device, medical service, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you believe you may have alcohol dependence, withdrawal symptoms, or a medical emergency, contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency services.

Data deletion

Since your data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. There is nothing stored on our servers to request deletion of.

Children's privacy

Cutback is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 17, consistent with its App Store age rating.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, for example if we add a new feature that collects data, we will update this page and the effective date above.

Cutback uses Apple's Standard End User License Agreement unless a separate written agreement is provided.
